The Power of Women and Sangha

It’s Monday afternoon at the time of writing these words down.
I sit in the hotel restaurant, watching the wind carve out grooves in the ocean waves as they roll into the rocky shoreline.
There is no one else really here apart from my girlfriend, Naomi, and the staff, with the occasional bird making its appearance. I sit here after a beautiful and humbling week of yoga, surfing, breathwork, waterfall hikes, and all the sun we could handle.
This retreat was unique in that it was the first one to be completely women's. But what a rich experience it was to see a tribe of beautiful women, strong in their minds and bodies, lay it all down on the mat, lift each other up with their words and smiles, let it all out with tears and laughter, and come together in a special women’s circle led by dear friend Tam. It was a wonderful energy and journey to experience.
After a retreat or training, as I am sure you know you have been in, you find yourself in this obscure realm of belated experience and contemplation that is yet to be integrated, wandering away with the mind frenzying over the week and experiences you’ve just lived lessons learned, and connections made. But all I can say for now is how grateful and humbled I am by this community, both in London and around the world, students past, present, and future, and for all that they teach me, their trust, support, and for all that I get to share with them.
Mark Robberd’s shared something the other day about that same experience in his days of searching in India that I feel relates to any time immersed in sadhana (practice):

Thank you to all those I have shared this past week.
Thank you for reading this email and for being a part of this Sangha (community).
The next few days will be spent surfing and rekindling after the past week before heading off to the next adventures in Colorado (USA) for Rocket L1 training, Antigua (Guatemala) and Panama City, where I’ll be hosting some workshops, and Doha for another Rocket L1 training. You can join and/or find out more info on those below.
